Puppet Stage Assistant (1461)
The Royal Shakespeare Company are looking to appoint a Puppet Stage Assistant for their production of My Neighbour Totoro at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, in London.
This position is offered initially as a fixed term contract until March 2026, commencing on 16 May 2025.
As Puppet Stage Assistant, you will, along with puppetry team, facilitate the smooth running of all performances and rehearsals from a Puppetry perspective, providing some support to ensure the show's puppets are show ready.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with puppets and/or props on a live theatrical production.
- Experience working with and supporting performers in live theatre performance.
- Ability for clear and confident communication with cast and technical teams,
- Proven excellent interpersonal skills, with cast, creative and technical teams.
- Strong ability to work and problem solve as an individual and as part of a larger team.
- A basic of knowledge of electrics would be helpful.
