Artistic Administrator (1281)

Are you a highly experienced administrator, used to working in a busy environment? Do you have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills? Can you organise and prioritise a varied workload to achieve deadlines? Do you have a solution driven approach and the ability to act with integrity, tact and patience.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide exceptional administrative support to the Producers and Planning team on a fixed term contract basis for up to 12 months.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

  • Arranging a wide variety of meetings, coordinating complex diaries, booking national and international travel together with booking accommodation in Stratford-upon-Avon and London.
  • Providing administrative support for the distribution of information relating to artistic activity, creative teams and performance schedules.
  • Supporting the contracting of creative teams and assisted performance freelancers processing contracts and arranging payment of fees and expenses.
  • Proofreading marketing and publicity material, programmes and press releases.
  • Processing and reconciling expense claims, credit card statements and invoices.
  • Developing, managing and maintaining effective departmental administrative, database and filing systems.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Significant experience of providing a high quality, response administrative service in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • An organised approach to work, effective prioritising skills, the ability to meet deadlines, along with an exception eye for detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • A solution driven approach to work tasks and the ability to problem solve.
  • The ability to act with integrity, tact and patience, observing confidentiality at all times.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for up to 12 months, based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work. The RSC is committed to a culture of flexible working, this role will provide the opportunity for some flexibility in hours and location of work.
