Facilities Manager (1846)

We're looking for a Facilities Manager to lead our facilities services across the estate, ensuring our buildings, services and workplaces remain safe, secure, compliant and fit for purpose for colleagues, artists, audiences and partners.

As Facilities Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our theatres and workplaces operate seamlessly, supporting colleagues, artists and audiences alike. This is an exciting opportunity to make a visible impact across our buildings and estate.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards across our venues whilst driving service improvements, supporting compliance, and leading a customer-focused facilities team.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of facilities services across the RSC estate, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, welcoming and fit for purpose.
- Managing and developing the Facilities Team, supporting performance, wellbeing and the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Overseeing facilities-related projects and ensuring operational issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Monitoring compliance with health and safety, fire safety, statutory inspections and other legal requirements.
- Responding to operational issues, incidents and emergencies, taking a proactive approach to problem solving and business continuity.
- Managing facilities budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and service improvements.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have:
- Significant experience managing facilities, workplace or estate services within a complex multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of soft services facilities management, including cleaning, security, reception services, fire safety and contractor management.
- Experience managing service contracts, suppliers, budgets and performance against agreed service standards.
- Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse organisation.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support operational requirements across the estate.
